How about a sewing badge?

I just bought a new Subaru Forester. One of the many selling points to me was the badges that you can collect to show your interests and hobbies. There are badges for cooking, gardening, and various outdoorsy activities. I'm going to suggest a sewing badge. I'll probably be the only one.

About 12 years ago I had a Subaru Impreza, 5 speed. I loved that car.

My car is about 14 years old, though with only 105,600 miles because there were years when I lived a 5-10" walk from work and the kids' daycare/school.

I have LONG admired the Subaru Forester. I had a Honda CRV in the past, which I loved and chose over the Rav4, but there was no nearby Subaru dealer to compare the Forester. My only new car ever was the CRV, which I sold when I got my current car used and free :).

I'm a Forester owner. I love my car. We used to be a two Subaru car family as my husband had an Outback. We have a motorhome and he wanted a 'toad' for that so we had to go someplace else. He still laments the loss of his car.

I had no idea you could get badges. Never heard of it.

You will love your Forester. I bought mine new in 1998 and gave it to my son last December with less than 90,000 miles on it. If he hadn't really needed another car I would still be driving it. Both my boys learned to drive in that car.
The Forester was just rated the #1 small SUV again by Consumer Reports. I believe it has always held one of the top 3 spots in that category, so congrats on getting a great car.

We have our second Subaru, a two year old Outback, and next to my old Honda Accord, it's my favorite car so far. We picked the badges for dogs, hiking, skiing, gardening, theater, biking and love. I will definitely join in the attempt to get a sewing badge. Hope you are as happy with your car as we are with ours.

I have a 2004 impreza, 5 speed! I love my car, but the effort of driving a manual is wearing on me. My next one will definitely be an automatic. The Forester is pretty high on my list, but we'll see what happens once we actually decide it's time to buy. I didn't know anything about this badge thing either.

I have a 2006 outback LLBean edition that I absolutely love. Teenage sons wrecked my last two outbacks, but both had almost 300,000 miles when they were in accidents, so I can attest to their longevity and safety as none of my boys were injured. Love the all wheel drive here in the Pacific northwest!

I was looking for a used Subaru winter of 2011 and found nothing! Ended up with a Toyota Camry which I like and will be a good grandma car. In my heart of hearts, I really want a Subaru BRZ however..... ;-)

Edited to fix the transpo I spotted after hitting "post".
