Date: 6/25/05 9:06 PM I just reviewed a Skort for the sole purpose of getting opinions on the fit. Is that ok? I did discuss the pattern, but my main objective was to get help. I thought I might have a wider audience on the review page than here. If I should be posting for help on the message board instead of in a review, let me know.

Date: 6/26/05 1:07 AM I think it's OK, as long as you write it as a review and state what you have done, you can post a pic of the problem area in your review, so we can help you better.
On the other hand, if it's simply a question about technique or involves patterndrafting, there are own forums for those.
You might want to make questions before you start anything you have never done before and making a muslin before you even start helps a lot.

Date: 6/26/05 9:37 AM Of course it's ok. I think it's more useful to ask on the boards since the topic can draw attention to your request. I only read an occasional review of something I might consider making, and look to them for getting information, would never know if one includes a request for help.

Date: 6/26/05 7:26 PM I saw your review. Nice skort. I didn't add any fitting help, since folks better than I had already done so. But I agree. As long as it's a "real" review, which yours was, asking for fitting help is very appropriate.
I thought it looked good on you, BTW. Not too much tweaking required.

Date: 6/26/05 11:15 PM What could be the best of both worlds is to link to the review in a fitting help request thread here on the message boards. You could also link to that thread from the review for those that don't necessarily post to the boards often. ------ --

Date: 6/28/05 5:18 PM That's a good idea, Debbie...more people would be apt to see the request for help that way. ------ Ardis
