chenille mentioned in the pattern sales thread that new Vogue patterns had already shown up at her local Joann's. Today I was browsing our local Hancock Fabrics, and lo and behold, not only were the new Vogue patterns there, but also new Simplicity. As of today (New Year's Eve), neither site has been updated with the new patterns (web teams on vacation, maybe?).

I took photos on my iPhone (not good photos, but at least enough that I know what's new). I'll give you some of the highlights, with one disclaimer. There were a few patterns that I wasn't sure whether or not they were new. Most I could tell by the numbers. So, forgive me if I happen to slip in one or two tht actually have been out for a while.

The highlights:

Tunics/longer blouses/short dresses...or whatever. Long tops meant to be worn with slim skirts, skinny pants or leggings.

Vintage...of course. In addition to the long top in the tunic section above....

Soft Tops. Still seeing a lot of feminine details like lace. Most are not form-fitting. Still seeing a hemlines dropping on the sides and/or back.

Lots of dresses, of course...in addition to the vintage ones...mostly from Vogue.

There's a new Simplicity Amazing fit dress with princess seams, but my picture on that one is really out of focus.

This one's my favorite:

So nice of you to post those pics! I did end up with the 8979 woven tops - love that front detail, and also the Donna Karen 1383, although I plan to make that without the ruffle.

Full, often longer, skirts.
