Hi Sarah

Are there any recommended patterns for this class? Or could I is either to refine the fit of a sloper (you know, the one I am planning to draft any day now!)

Regards

Austragirl

Hi Austragirl,

As I say in the complete class description, you can work on pattern that you want. Once you've registered for the class, there is information on selecting the best size to start with, and some information about whether to work on a garment pattern or a sloper -- either is fine, it just depends on what you want to accomplish and how you approach garment sewing.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sarah

Sarah,
I have been intrigued with the "how-to's" of fitting for years & understand how critical it is that each part of a garment conform to the body wearing it. I live alone & don't have the luxury of partnering with someone to help with fitting, but I do have a dress form that's replicates my figure closely enough. Is this class designed so that I can do fitting without a partner to help?

Thanks.
Nancy

Hi Nancy,

Yes, you can get a lot of fitting accomplished on your own. (I do the majority of my own fitting.) In the class I give you quite a number of tips of fitting yourself. And having a dress form will help you along the way, although it's important of course to see the garment on your own body.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Sarah
