I recently saw an exhibit of Diane Van Furstenberg wrap dresses in celebrations it's 40 year anniversary and wanted to share it with everyone. Whenever I see wrap dresses in sewing patterns they're generally have a similar look. Oh boy was I in for a shock. Not to spoil all the surprises but the amount of variations was amazing. I truly admire the creatively in design and ambition of DVF. If you're in LA please check out the exhibit. If not, check out all the eye candy on my blog. http://www.detectivehoundstooth.com/dvf/

Oh yes, thanks for sharing this!

I watched the Great British Sewing Bee (Season 2 Episode 3) this morning, and their big project was making a wrap dress.

If winter ever ends, I will be making & wearing one of these.

With a great wardrobe that's still in the flat-fabric stage.

Wow thanks for that! I remember I was working in a local high end department store in ladies dresses, when her first dress came out. I wish I had had the money to buy one, but I was a poor college student. But even though I wore a size 5 in juniors then, my bust was still large. It wasn't a dress for large busted women. But I loved looking at them.

I have way too many yards to count, and I will never use them up, but I will die trying!

Thanks for sharing your fabulous pictures. This looks like a fun exhibit to see. I had no idea there was so much variation in her dresses.
