Designing, pieceing, quilting, binding something that you've been putting off? Or even buying stuff...I've got lots of sale offers in my inbox!

I'm planning on trying to finish the layout of my new quilt, so I can work on my other projects guilt free!

I'm "planning" on taking one dog to the vet for a squeeze and her nails done. Then giving 2 dogs their baths--and believe me, they need it. Then, after they are dry, DH has said he wants to clean the carpets today. We will see if this happens. It did not happen at Christmas... If he does it, I have to help.

By this time, it will be dinner and I will be tired.

Now, if he does not clean the carpets, I get to work on tracing out some seaweed and fusing it. Maybe I should do this while I still have a little time this morning, before taking the dog to the vet...

Well, those are my plans for today, Worldwide Quilting Day.

Jann, aren't you glad you asked?

Perhaps the dogs would enjoy a new quilt for their beds...I'm sure you could squeeze that in somewhere today...you have until midnite!!

I traced out a section of the coral and another section of seaweed. The seaweed looks like a flame to me, and not something underwater.

I am strongly thinking of ordering another 4 yards of the underwater fabric I love so much. I already ordered 2 yards. and expect delivery Tuesday or Wed. It will be out of stock soon. If I enjoy sewing applique underwater scenes as much as I do tracing and fusing them, then I want all the fabric I can afford.

I am thinking of ordering a FQ of a clown fish fabric and adding a fish or two in the coral. Should make it very funny to look at and much brighter and colorful.

What do you think? Too much with my turtle?

I ordered some fabric from one of my fav quilting shops that is out of state, bought a little more fabric at a local fabric store, stippled the pieces that needed to be quilted for a bag I'm making for my mom, and planned out which project(s) I'll take with me when I go visit my parents in May. :)

It's only 5pm, so I've still got a bunch of hours left in the day to do more!

it doesn't matter what type of sewing you do. you are sewing, and sewing is good.

I was so busy today, I only just saw this. What! Only 1 day for Worldwide Quilting Day? Well folks, I need a Worldwide Quilting week, month or season. I say this is kinda like my view on birthdays, celebrating them and of course presents. 24 hours- how puny!

I work one day a week at my local quilt shop and today was certainly a celebration because we sold 4 times our normal Saturday sales totals. I walked into our second cutting room which is quite large with fabrics arranged by color and it looked like the room exploded. bolts of fabric everywhere. I set up to cut and stood there for the next 4 hours straight, cutting fabric. Most folk were leaving with an average of 8-10 yards of fabric and at full retail price which ranges from $9.50-12.75 per yard. We had to stay open an extra half hour because we were still cutting at 5:00. We had to lock the door because people were still trying to get in after hours. It was a fantastic day. I had two ladies from Montreal who said they came back (repeat customers) because they liked my eye for color... What, who, me? Between them, they purchased 25 yards of fabric!!

Okay, I have to find out where this wonderful quilt shop is! Since I have to travel pretty far to my nearest shop, maybe you are not too far away??? If you don't want to say publicly, you can PM me. I would love to add another good shop to my travels

The clown fish look like a good size selection...you'd want your turtle larger I think....might be fun to see them peeking out from behind the coral and seaweed...if not this project, then the next!!

Wouldn't it be fun to find that it is where you shop and she helped you??
Or you could use it as an excuse to visit every shop in Vermont!!
