I can't seem to get connected to the chat room. I have Java installed on my computer and I have enabled it for all my browsers, but none of them work.

I'm taking a class on August 7, 2005 and would really like to get this resolved. Has anyone else experienced problems with Java? When I got to the page for the chat, I get the coffee cup, but nothing happens.

Please help me!

Thanks.

After installing java did you restart your computer? Which browser are you using?

I seem to be connecting to the chat room but I'm stumped when I get there. If I click on the Rooms tab, I see "Pattern Review", "Build a Better Skirt", and "Expert Chat" with the latter two being locked. If I click on Users under Pattern Review, I see my user name but none others because no one is in the chat room I presume.

Should I be seeing the one for Dress Forms and Pants Forms too? Will this be locked too, with some kind of password?

If you think your sewing is better than everyone else's around here, get out of my way b****. I hate sewing snobs.

Yeah! I went away for a couple of days and now the chat seems to be working. I'm so relieved. I just hope it is still working in a week when I need it.

Thanks Deepika for whatever you did.

I create the rooms a few days before the chat is due. Otherwise it looks cluttered. You can see both dressform and pants form rooms now.

I was able to access your chat room without a problem once before- when Sandra Betzina was the guest some months ago. but don't remember how . I missed my Flip and

Stitch 1st chat tonight because I was unable to get in. I clicked on "rooms", then double clicked on the class and got a dialogue box with a "connect" button in it, but when asked for the password, the box would not register my typing at all, and after several attempts with no results, it gave me a message that there was already someone else on with my "name",Lady Di. I am using a Mac, browsers are Safari and Firefox (the one I tried tonight), and I do have Java installed and as far as I can tell, enabled ( definitely not a techie).
I would so appreciate some help so I can do the next chat class.
Thank you Deepika,
Dianne R.
