| Join me for Club EMB this month to learn how to combine a small design into a larger masterpiece. We will explore different ways to play with arranging a leaf/acorn design into a wreath. Techniques will include working with paper (or stitched out templates) and using embroidery software. Learn how how easy it is to create a complex overall design when you start by making "building blocks". A building block is a "segment" made up of a couple (or few) individual designs. These building blocks can be quickly combined to create beautiful large-scale designs that are embroidered in multiple hoopings.
This acorn/leaf design is a free download at embroideryonline.com. (You can find it in the under "free design".
About Club EMB: This new series of online classes on PatternReview will focus on different machine embroidery techniques each month. An embroidery machine is required for Club EMB classes. Each month we will focus on a new technique and you will have four weeks to practice the technique. There are no live chats for Club EMB. Class is a combination of PDF downloads and message boards where you can interact with other students and the instructor. |
