In the class, we'll work with the 3 classic European laces: Alencon, Chantilly, and Guipure. You'll learn to appreciate their beauty, and you'll see how well they lend themselves to manipulation and beautiful applications.
You'll create
You'll make samples with Guipure lace. You'll learn how to trim and shape an Alencon lace galloon and how to apply and embellish an Alencon lace motif; you'll learn how to place delicate Chantilly lace to its best advantage; and using Guipure lace, you'll learn how to stitch invisible seams and darts. The class kit is required which contains everything you need to create the above items.
