Understanding Knit Fabrics Class Feedback

 Class feedback submitted by participants

This class alleviated the fear I had about sewing knits. I'd recommend this class to anyone interested in learning about the various knit fabrics. sample kit was very helpful.

The lived up to my expectation and more. Sarah is a great teacher and has an easy teaching style. She was always prompt with the answers that were posted to her and the lessons were always posted early, early in the morning. The sample kit was really helpful with the variety of knits because it left no question about the identity of the knit and the content and property. I found the half-scale Tee shirt pattern most helpful because it showed how different knits affect fit....a great reference tool. The class chats were fun and the questions were always interesting. All in all, I really enjoyed the experience. Another winner!

Sarah provided excellent information and I am most appreciative of receiving samples of the knits, needles and interfacings.

This class was wonderful. Sarah was available all the time and answered all questions promptly. Having a kit available made all the difference and I loved all the fabrics. There was a ton of information and I should be able now to go out and sew my little heart out! Thanks Sarah!

I really enjoyed this class. I have sewn with knits for a long time but not with the newer ones. I also was having issues with hems but this class has finally figured out where I was going wrong there. Thank you. I liked the size of your text for the lessons. Easy to read across the table while testing the swatches. I also want to thank you for sending those swatches.

This was a great class & the swatches were a big plus. I was unable to attend any of the chats, but I d/l the transcripts which is also a big plus. The lessons were in a great format and easy to follow, especially with swatches in hand.

This course provided basic information about knits and lots of extra information in response to questions. The kit and course lessons were excellent. I am more comfortable sewing with knits now. I am sure that I will be using material from this course for many years. Sarah is a good addition to your instructors. She is helpful, clear, and responsive. She obviously cares about sewing skills and her students. The chats provided lots of additional information. I did not have any technical difficulties.

Overall, I was very pleased with this course. The availability of the kit was great. The course was very thorough. I found the information that experienced knit sewers generally had three different sizes for knit patterns to be very helpful. I also gained a better appreciation of how much pre-testing with the fabric had to be done, before doing the actual garment construction. The lessons were provided on schedule, and I was able to download all without problems, a real plus for me.

This was my first PR class and as a result I do have a much better understanding of knit fabrics. I really enjoyed the lessons and have been referring back to them as I've been tackling new projects. Having the fabic swatches to refer back to was an added bonus. I liked Sarah's teaching style, she was extremely helpful, very thorough, and quick to answer any question. I would definately take another class with Sarah. I had no technical difficulities.

I know I'm going to reiterate what others have said but I have to add my 2 cents. This class was terrific! Sarah's knowledge, enthusiasm and skill in communicating were outstanding. The lessons were well written and illustrated and so were easy to understand. There was also a bunch of them which was a nice part of the class. Having the fabric samples really added a lot. Sarah has a creative freedom that is catching and well worth the class price! And her warm, friendly manner was a definite pleasure.
