What Bernino likes about this machine I bought this machine a long time ago, it has seen very little use, then for many reasons it was kept unused in a closet for over a decade. I re-discovered it recently and found that it has lots of nice features, including several utility stitches and an effective automatic buttonhole function. It works very nicely on almost any kind of fabric and has all the features I need including stretch-fabric stitches. I also like the halogen lamp and the hard cover. It is a bit plasticky but I think it's allright. What Bernino does not like about this machine Nothing! Perhaps a bit more explanations in the manual about the use of the lockstitch function with the basic stitches. Otherwise still a very nice machine. |

I have always thought I would love one of these machines. Not only is it a rock solid Janome, but it is so pretty. I love a plain streamlined look!

This is a great machine! I had one for almost 10 years and just traded it in last month. It was a real workhorse for 9 out of those 10 years. The last year it started to die and not even a good tuneup could fix it. However, I sew a lot. I highly recommend the MC3000 as it gave me many good years of use. I truly stitched that machine to death :) .

I'm fairly certain that my mother-in-law has one of these. She has never sewn even one stitch with it. Poor machine. She claims she'll get it out and sew AFTER she sifts through old financial documents and shreds them. These documents are stored on her sewing table. She's been talking about getting that machine out since she moved in 2003 to be closer to us. Can't count the number of times she's said, "Will you help me set up my machine and show me how to use it?" Don't think that day is ever coming, though.
