threading needles
I sometimes use the magnifier on my sewing lamp when I need to thread a hand sewing needle, but it never occurred to me that it would be useful when threading one for the sewing machine. Cleaning lint from sergers
I have found that the easiest and most efficient way to clean the lint from my serger is to use a pipe cleaner. Because the pipe cleaner is long and flexible it can go into those difficult to reach spaces and the lint will adhere to it for removal. I was amazed to see how much it would pick up. more...

elastic guide
I had problems threading wide elastic into casings using the time-honored large safety pin method.
