Measuring seam lines

Off grain fabric

Fabric snagging on throatplate
I'm sewing a very fine poly jersey, and the fabric, as it feeds along the throatplate, is snagging on the edges of the sunk holes along the side that keep the screws holding the throatplate out of the fabric feed. Lining up pattern pieces on the grain
If you have a narrow cutting table and your wide fabric flops over the edges, it can sometimes be a challenge to get your pattern pieces on the grain across the width of the fabric. Almost empty bobbins
