First - I was very nervous about purchasing this machine (and using it - I finally took it out of the box 2 weeks ago, after owning it for 3 months): 1. What am I really getting for just under $200, 2. I've read some very scathing reviews about this machine on the internet (not just PR).

I've noticed a lot of photographs of either patterns, fabric, pattern envelopes - all visually "flat" items, post on PR.
