A small but (hopefully) useful technique. To help even out gathers, drag an awl between the easing lines back and forth a couple of times. As many of us know, Burda 3216 is mulitsized 8-26 and takes a little over 2 1/2 yds of fabric (@ 45"). Suggested fabrics are cottons, viscose rayon, lightweight linen, and jersey; but from what I have read at PR, anything goes!

I bought this pattern in hopes of getting some wardrobe builders in my closet. Now I wish I had read the reviews for Park Bench. It is definitely difficult to size down (14 to a 6) for a beginner.
