I made a size 18, because that's what my shoulders fit to. And it fit my shoulders just perfect.

Okay, I just used this pattern to make a tricorn hat. And I extensively used Butterick 3805 as well. My hats are kind of a mishmash of the two. But I don't think this pattern for the hat has been reviewed before, so I wanted to add my two cents to myriad of reviews already about this pattern.
