Pattern Sizing:
Beware the pants.
According to the pattern envelope, the XL size fits up to 46 inch hips.
But the finished measurement at hip level for size XL printed on the pattern is 44 inches !!
Extra odd, as the XL top is 50-1/2 inches at hip level, plus side vents - plenty big enough.

Pattern Sizing:
You have to do a lot of work to get the best size for this pattern. There's only that vaguely shapeless photo, no line diagram, and no finished garment measurements anywhere.

Hardback book with spiral bound pages and pack of tisuue paper patterns
Warning : the patterns are tiny.
I like the idea of this book. There are three basic patterns :
- armhole princess fitted jacket,
- straight casual jacket described as 'not-too-snug' and used for styles like a parka.

This book includes a selection of garments, in order of difficulty, so you are supposed to be able to learn to sew from it. The book also includes basic pattern making software so you can make patterns for the given garments which fit you individually. An ingenious combination.

Starting points : I wanted to use these embroidery designs
