What is this notion used for?
This is directly from the SFD site. You need this tool to proceed with the SFD kits. I also use my stylus to get the correct curves on other patterns.

Pattern Description: Easy sewing knit dress with elastic waist, sleeveless blouson bodice, and straight skirt.
Pattern Sizing: I am a 44/36/41, 5'6", grandma with a swayback and thick legs and thighs. Usually I do a 1" FBA. Burda sizing is usually a 44 with alterations.

Finding your pattern pieces quickly on a Burda Magazine pattern sheet
