BurdaStyle Magazine - 09-2013-101B Twist front dress
View / Size used: I made a 38 bodice which is my usual size, with basically a circle skirt. I made a previous version with the correct skirt in a 38, and it was a little tight on me, but I am really a size 40 at my hip, so I reckon the sizing is consistent with what I expect from Burda. Burda - 6849 Tops
View / Size used: View B / C with no pockets. I have no idea what the difference is between view B and C. I cut out a straight size 38, but made fit adjustments afterwards. View/Size Used: View A, I would be a 14 based on the measurements on the envelope, I cut a 10 because it was the smallest in the envelope and this pattern runs HUGE! Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Well, sort of. There's only a drawing, ... more...

Burda - 6840 Tops
View / Size used: View A, size 10 for the neckline and shoulders to the bottom of the armscye, 12 for body. That's 36/38 in euro sizes. I normally use 38 in burda, but I compared the finished bust measurement to my far-too-big Butterick 5611 and there seemed to be pretty generous ease in the bust. ... more...
