hem first, seam later!
When sewing simple clothing for children (pajamas, shirts, simple coats) consider hemming the tiny sleeves first, and sewing the sleeve seam second. Just use the hemming instructions in the pattern. You will trim any bulkiness away at the wrist when you trim the seam. This results in a lot less ti... more...
