Since I'm a bit of a newbie, I'm hoping this mini-wardrobe contest will help kick start my sewing! My husband and I are taking a trip to Montreal for the Formula One race in early June, and so the timing for a cute new weekend wardrobe is perfect. I'm planning on making:

Pattern Description: From the magazine "The flared skirt is as sport as bermudas. It's hem edge is turned up like a sleeve cuff and held in place by typical side tabs". Except I didn't do the hem cuff OR the side tabs. Or the pockets.

Pattern Description: From the magazine "This top certainly won't ever show anyone a cold shoulder! It looks wonderful, is easy to make, has witty puffed sleeves, and a hemband that gives it a slight blouson shape".

Pattern Description: All eyes front and centre! The tie -bands on this wrapover top are so long that they can be wrapped twice around the waist. The garment needs no other details, as the blod graphic print in jungle colours dominates the scene.
