I recently read about blue painters tape in an issue of Threads magazine.
I can't remember even what the article said but I bought some and used it to tape my fabric to my rotary mat cutting board. This worked great at holding my fabric stable so it doesn't slip around.

I recently read in an issue of Threads magazine (I believe that is where I saw it) about stopping your sewing machine pedal from running away.

I love this machine. My previous machine was a 25 year old Kenmore that I gave to my son thinking I would just replace it, not knowing they had changed so much.
