Most tape measures are 5/8" wide!
I had no idea, but most tape measures are 5/8" wide, making it so much easier to add standard commercial pattern seam allowances when tissue fitting or otherwise trying to mark patterns. Newsflash! Water Soluble Stabilizer
Better to use a more fabric-like water-soluble stabilizer for the bottom; then you can add a gentle misting of Sulky 2000 eco-friendly spray basting to help your strips stay neighborly. :) This tip relates to my post about my Scrappy Ends Scarf, which you can see on my blog, Artelicious, at www.tina...more...

No Pattern Used - Scarves Scrappy Ends Scarf
I started out with a bin of scraps and used water-soluble stabilizer as a base and cover to sew those scraps together into a scarf shape with free-motion embroidery.
