This is a strapless cocktail dress from BurdaStyle. I'd say that it is pretty contemporary, which no overtly vintage touches. A bit of a departure for me!

Pattern Description:
This is a boat-neck, jersey top, with 3/4 length sleeves. No darts, no closures, no nothing.

Burda sizing! I made a 38, with an indent to deal with my high waist, and lowered armholes to deal with either my muscular neck / sloping shoulders.

This is a vintage Vogue from the mid-60s. It's a sheath dress, with fantastic bodice seaming details. The bodice is sewn as an insert into the front of the dress, causing a great long princess line dart effect.
