This is a basic coverstitch machine. It compliments my serger quite nicely. The threading is a breeze and it delivers a consistent stitch. This is my first serger. I perused this website trying to decide on which serger to get. Very stressful decision. :-) In the end I decided on the Janome because my sewing machine is a Janome and it has performed excellent. Also the dealer is near my house and very helpful.
