Sofie wanted a new dress for her school formal. We looked through our Burda mags and chose this pattern as it seem petty straight forward. We then went shopping for fabric. Sofie's main want was to have the new nude look shoes - and very high! So the fabric needed to match those.

I bought this fabric (the one in the middle) from the Dancing Queen in Richmond (Melbourne Australia) on our first Pattern Review weekend a couple of years ago. The fabric has embellished fibres in it and it repeats it pattern about every metre.
