elastic "tails"
Just a quick trick I use when inserting elastic. I measure the elastic per the instructions and mark with washable marker leaving 1" tails on either side. The length is then 2" longer than needed. Having the 'tails" makes it so much easier to sew the ends securely at the casing edge. Simply line ...more... |

Fiskars - Donna Dewberry quilting ruller 18 1/2" x 3 1/2"
What is this notion used for? It is used for cutting with a rotary cutter. This has become my favorite ruler. It has a color coded 1/2" guide on 2 sides. At first I wasn't sure if I would use it much, but now I grab it first. It has been great for cutting out all those measurements for bias tape...more... |
