|Chat with Tricia Waddell, editor-in-chief of Stitch magazine, Wednesday, September 8th, 8 PM Eastern Time (5 Pacific, 6 Mountain, 7 Central)!
Join us on Wednesday, September 8th, 8 PM EST for a chat with Tricia Waddell of Stitch on "Chat with the STITCH Magazine Editor".
Tricia Waddell is editor-in-chief of Stitch, a contemporary sewing magazine from Interweave, all about creating with fabric and thread.
Stylish, quirky, sophisticated, modern, and always design-conscious, every issue of Stitch inspires you to express yourself, liberate yourself, and above all enjoy yourself next time you sit down to sew. In addition to offering up to 40 innovative projects per issue by independent designers, Stitch offers inspiring articles that bring you into the exciting global world of sewing and textiles through designer profiles, trend features, technique tutorials and more. From Japanese craft books and Project Runway, to designer fashion and modern home décor trends, from fiber art to Etsy, classic vintage to fashion-forward, our focus is on contemporary sewing that celebrates the handmade lifestyle.
Tricia created Stitch two years ago, starting it as a biannual special issue, and in 2011, it will become a quarterly subscription magazine. Prior to launching Stitch, she was the editorial director of books for Interweave and most recently editorial director of Interweave's knit and crochet magazines.
Passionate about design and fashion, Tricia uses every spare moment for sewing, knitting, weaving, and just making stuff. She recently began working on a second degree in fashion design.
Tricia also oversees the interweavestitch.com website and will lead a multi-media expansion of the Stitch brand in 2011.
This chat is open to all members. Chat instructions will be posted on the PR home page on Wednesday morning.
