FOR ONE STANDARD-SIZE PILLOW SHAM WITH TIES

Finished size: 20” wide x 26” long and Ties



For 54” wide heavier Home Dec fabric OR 44” wide light to mid-weight fabric

  •   1 1/8 yards of the 1st fabric for the Back Panel, Ties and piecing the Front Panel
  •   3/8 yard each of 3 coordinating fabrics for piecing the Front Panel


OR

FOR ONE KING-SIZE PILLOW SHAM WITH TIES

Finished size: 20” wide x 36” long and Ties



For 54” wide heavier Home Dec fabric OR 44” wide light to mid-weight fabric

  •   1 3/8 yards of the 1st fabric for the Back Panel, Ties and piecing the Front Panel
  •   1/2 yard each of 3 coordinating fabrics for piecing the Front Panel


PLUS (for both Standard or King-size Pillow Sham)

  •   1 1/8 yards of 44” wide cotton muslin for the quilt backing and bias binding
  •   5/8 yard of 44” or 60” wide natural cotton batting (The batting can be purchased by the yard or use the scraps if making a Twin, Full or King-size Coverlet.

FOR ONE COUCH PILLOW SHAM WITH ENVELOPE-STYLE BACK

For 54” wide heavier Home Dec fabric or 44" wide light to mid-weight fabric

  •   1 1/8 yards of the 1st fabric for the Back Panels and piecing the Front Panel
  •   3/8 yard each of 3 coordinating fabrics for piecing the Front Panel

PLUS

  •   5/8 yard of 44” wide cotton muslin for the quilt backing
  •   3/4 yard of 44” or 60” wide cotton batting
  •   1 18" x 22" Soft Touch® pillow form from Fairfield
  •   1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread

TOOLS NEEDED: Scissors, Iron, Yardstick/ruler, Chalk pencil or Fabric marker, Long quilting straight pins, Large safety pins (optional), Hand sewing needle
and Turning tool (such as a closed pair of scissors)

  •   1 pkg of Polyfil Machine 60/40 Blend® batting in Generous Queen-size for the Twin, Full and Queen Coverlet OR Generous King-size for the King Coverlet.


NOTE: We have specified the Machine 60/40 Blend® batting from Fairfield because it allows up to an 8" quilt distance needed for the Coverlet design. If you are making the Twin or Full-size Coverlet you will have enough overage for 2 Standard-size Pillow Shams. If you are making the King-size there will be enough left for 2 King Shams.

Queen - 84" x 104" and King - 100" x 104"
