The instructions to do a waistband in many of the Ottobre patterns seem to confuse people. Here is what a waistband done Ottobre style looks like and a tutorial from my daughter. The benefits of doing the waistband this way is that the elastic doesn't twist. Also, the waistband has a more RTW loo

Pattern Description: These are the cutest little ruffly butt shorts for babies and toddlers. The pattern shows them being made with two coordinating fabrics, but I wanted to make her a basic color short with fun details, so I used the remnant from a skirt I just made for myself.
