Recommend, with Modifications
I found this pattern to be helpful when constructing a waist coat with a few alterations and some added instructions. The size was fairly accurate. My husband is a 42 short and the length was perfect but I had to take in the sides about 5/8" in some areas. My experience with Burda patterns is

Difficult, but great for Advanced Sewers

Recommend, with Modifications
Pattern Description:
This pattern includes a mens' waistcoat (vest) and various ties (bow tie etc - see picture). I made the cravat (I don't know whether it's called that in the US but you should be able to figure it out from the picture.)
