Great Wardrobe Builder I initially made this skirt as part of my summer wardrobe last year. And when I first tried it on, the pleats stuck out in such a manner as to be highly unflattering. So I put the skirt on the back of my sewing chair and ignored it for about 9 months. This weekend I decided to tackle some UFO's and more...
Pattern Description: Skirt with yoke, flat piping at yoke, front pleats, pockets.
Pattern Sizing: 36-44. I cut a 44 but from the amount I took in at side seams I should have probably cut a 42.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Highly Recommend Edited to add a second version
Changes I made to this version:
It is the same size but I lengthened the skirt to just under the knee for that retro look by adding 15 cm. I followed the angle of the side seams to keep the pegged look so it's fairly narrow around the hem.
I added a centre back seam more...
me wearing it along with top 05/2010-129 separately reviewed.
Skirt with wide yoke, front pockets, front pleats (view 114 is very similar but shorter with a topstitched hem and drawstring detail).
36-44, mine is a 38 at the waist and 40 at hips.
Did it look like more...
Highly Recommend Pattern Description:
A slim, slightly pegged skirt with a wide shaped yoke and side pockets.
36-44; I made 38 at waist blending to 40 at hips (20 cm below waist)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. There are two skirts more...
