Pattern Description:
I was making the tricorn hat for my daughters' pirate costumes.
Pattern Sizing:
Okay, this is why this pattern is NOT recommended. This pattern will make a hat to fit a size 13 inch head. To give you an idea of how small that is--my 2 month old son's head was too big for it

Would NOT Recommend
I had to make a gift for a roleplaying festival I was attending, so I figured a medieval hat would be an appropriate idea. I foolishly chose Butterick pattern 3805.
I chose a purple and a brown havanna suede, and gold satin to line it with, and began construction.
