Amy Butler AB008MB Rural Messenger Bag

A simple, clean, and sophisticated design. The Messenger Bag has a large main compartment that is covered by a 'flap' purse. Large size accommodates a variety of uses!
Materials List for the Rural Messenger Bag
  • 1 1/2 yards of a large Floral print of Mid weight to Heavy weight cotton that will hold the shape of the Bag. Home Decor Fabrics are great for this project too.
  • 1 1/4 yards of a solid or a patterned Mid weight cotton for the lining.
  • 1/4 yard of Sew On Velcro
  • 1 Large Button or Decorative Pin.

NOTE: Using vintage jewelry pins is another way to jazz up your Messenger Bag and make it unique!

Finished Dimensions: 12 1/2" wide x 15 1/2" tall with a 43 1/2" Strap.

Edited to add ~ the flower pin I made for the bag ~ pin. I'm not sure if I'll try to make something different. I have very limited experience making a flower pin so I'm not sure if it's what I want on the bag or not. I cut out one of the flowers from the print and fused a solid fabric to the back
