Downtown purse and clutch, uptown handbag, and fabric flowers for accessories.
Elegant and fashionable purse and handbag designs at home in the penthouse or on the pavement! An updated take on 40's style!
Materials List for the Uptown Handbag
- 3" of 3/4" Sew-on Velcro
- 1/2 yard of fabric for the exterior*
*Allow extra for matching up a pattern on your fabric
- 1/2 yard of fabric for the lining
- 1 yard heavyweight fusible interfacing such as Pellon Craft Fuse
- Fabric marker or tailor's chalk
Finished Dimensions for the Swing Bag:17 1/2" wide x 7" tall

- 1" of 3/4" Sew-on Velcro
- 3/4 yard of fabric for the exterior*
*Allow extra for matching up a pattern on your fabric
- 3/4 yard of fabric for the lining
- 1 yard heavyweight fusible interfacing such as Pellon Craft Fuse
- 1/2 yard of Boning (sold by the yard or in packages)
- Fabric marker or tailors chalk
Finished Dimensions for the Scarf: 17 1/2" wide x 7" tall

Materials List for the Fabric Flowers
NOTE: This is enough material and notions to make one large and one small fabric flower.
- 1/4 yard of one lightweight fabric for flower petal fronts
- 1/4 yard of a coordinating lightweight fabric for flower petal backs
- 1/4 yard of Wonder Under (double sided, fusible interfacing)
- 2 decorative buttons for the center of the flowers
- 2-1" sew-on craft pin backs and/or hair barrette backs
- Thimble
