Easy & Great for Beginners These are quick and easy gift bags, a great way to use up your stash.
I have used various ways to close them, from buttonholes every 2.5 inches, then weave a ribbon through them, button holes and drawstring, envelope style, sewing the fabric on the diagonal and then tying the top etc.

Easy & Great for Beginners I made a quick and easy gift bag for some DVD's. Basically, I took half a yard of a bright cotton print, squared off the cut edges, hemmed the selvage edges and then sewed the sides using a french seam.
