Highly Recommend
I was looking for a dress to wear to the ball... normally I choose the patterns but this time my husband chose. So this is my first go at pleats, I think it came out pretty good :) .. the photo is taken just after finishing and before a good pressing.

Pattern OK, but did NOT work for Me
I liked the idea of the ruching on this dress, as I feel it helps hide my tummy. I was excited to work on it, as I love the fabric (an Italian cotton from my local fabric store), and also wanted to play with inserting exposed zippers.

Recommend, with Modifications
dress in two lengths with sleeve variations and front rouching:

The finished dress looked somewhat like the pattern with the exception of the lower front panel, where the panel drooped and could not be corrected not to.
