Highly Recommend
I call this my "3 dollar dress" as the fabric cost $2 and the pattern was $1. I found the pattern on a dollar table at a local fabric store, so that may mean it's out of print. After reading a review of this pattern I decided to give it a shot since it was recommended for beginners.

Easy & Great for Beginners
I nominate this pattern as my favorite for beginners. It has only two pattern pieces and two seams. Then you just turn under the remaining spots twice; armholes, neck, and hem, and stitch. Very quick and you have an elegant dress. I cut it as a small on the very top and medium at bust and hips.
