Later - I just corrected a small error and also forgot something important--First, the decorative stitch around the hem is "shell tucking" (mode 3, #6 on my Janome 6500), not scallop stitching, as I'd said previously.
Also, the fabric wasn't wide enough to fold and cut the pattern, so I added sea
