|What bella tutu likes about this machine|
I like the Opal 670 because it is so user-friendly and offers so much for the price tag. In my opinion, it is a fantastic value/package for the money I spent on it. I have been a hardcore mechanical Bernina person in the past, but decided to move into the computer age, and glad I did. I did review my choices I had with Bernina machines as well, but I was not impressed with them compared to the Viking. The Opal's auto cutting function has to be my favorite of them all! And there are A LOT of functions to put to use on this machine!
When I was in the market for a new machine-I was just through with finding parts etc. on my older machines-I went about looking for a new machine on the basis of the perfect buttonhole. My old Bernina 830 and 930 made impeccable buttonholes. Now, this is a narrow way to look at new machines, but I would say, it was a BIG deal for me. That and price. My dealer demoed the buttonholes the 670 offers and I was just awed. They were beautiful!
The machine is quiet, runs so smoothly, it is just a joy to sew with. Yes, I have had a learning curve with the computer aspect of it, but the screen is very visually-oriented, so that helps out a lot. The manual is very thorough as well, well-written, and I actually don't mind reading it-imagine that!

I would like to see more bobbin capacity, but who wouldn't!
