|What Cat n Bull likes about this machine|
I got this machine because I had to have a LIGHT machine to take to a monthly meeting, and having a light machine with IDT is ideal! I did not want to have to sacrifice stitch quality and precision to get a small light machine, so I was really pleased when Pfaff came out with this one!
I LOVE the IDT. The feed on this little machine is wonderful! The stitch quality is perfect with no need to mess with the tension.
I LOVE how easy it is to take to the meetings. So light! I keep it in a Tutto case because I take other things with me as well, so I was not interested in the hard case it came with. It it such a small machine it doesn't take up too much space on the table at the meetings either.
After hearing about some people tipping the machine over when they push buttons, I deliberately TRIED to push the machine over when I pushed the buttons. If you tip this machine when you push the buttons, you are REALLY hitting those buttons hard! I couldn't tip the machine even TRYING to do it until I REALLY shoved it. Since it only weighs 14 pounds it is no big surprise it's easier to push over than a full sized machine, but if you generally don't shove your machine around, you won't have problems with this one tipping over.
This machine is a simple basic machine. Nothing fancy but it PERFORMS superbly with very little fuss! I got it for one very specific purpose, which is a travel machine, and it handle it's job in exemplary fashion. I would not use it for everyday sewing since I already have very nice full sized machines, but if I had to it's VERY nice to know there is no sacrifice in precision or stitch quality.
What Cat n Bull does not like about this machine
There is no thread cutter near the bobbin winder and that makes me crazy!
I don't think the bobbin winder winds the bobbins very tight.
The mistake in the manual about the permanent reverse needs to be corrected.
Other than that I am very happy every time I use this machine at my meetings!
