Tell us about your first impression when you used this machine.
Very easy to figure out and use, lightweight

Was the machine manual sufficient?
Yes, easy to understand

Did you buy any accessories? Do you use them?
No. This machine comes with 9 presser feet and all the supplies that I currently need.

Is this your primary machine?

Did you take any classes specifically for this machine?

Was this a gift/pre-owned/garage sale etc?
I bought it new.

How often do you use it?
During the summer (I am a teacher and I take the summer off), it is used almost daily. The rest of the year, as much as a few times a week, as little as a few times a month.

Would you recommend this machine to others?
Absolutely. It is a fantastic machine. I highly recommend this machine.

Have you had any trouble with this machine? Please elaborate.
The only problem I ever had was some knit fabric got caught in the machine. I quickly solved this problem by putting some tape over the plate hole to make the hole smaller (I read that this is a common problem with sewing machines). I have had no problems since then, and no other problems at all.
Do you do regular maintenance on this machine? How?
I clean it with the included brush, and have vacuumed it.

I have a CS 6000i too. Use it almost daily. I leave the extension table on it all of the time and not just use it on the machine when quilting. It joins my Brother SE350. Actually bought this one, the CS 6000i, so I could set the other one up, the SE350, for embroidery work and so don't have to switch the SE350 back and forth as a sewing machine and as an embroidery machine, as it is intended to be used as. That was a very, very smart move for me. Very, very happy with the Brother CS 6000i for regular sewing and its other use for quilting as it was intended for...
