What is this notion used for? Portable sewing table for sewing machine or serger.
Did you get your money's worth after the purchase? Maybe, I wanted a small table with storage to add to existing sewing furniture. When compared to 4 drawers that other companies sell it's reasonable.
Is this notion easily available? Yes, I purchased mine at a dealer. If you google several chains including Walmart list them on their sites.
Would you recommend it to others? For the price it's OK. They tell you that for assembly you need a Phillips head screwdriver and a flat-head screwdriver. I would add a box of band aids, wood glue, clamps, power screw driver and extra hinges from the hardware store. I give the concept of a small portable sewing table with 4 drawers and option to set up with a pull out let for almost 45" lenght A +. It has the option to assemble with drawers on left or right side. Here's where the instructions start to fall apart. They use cam locks and cam screws to hold the table together. Many of the cam screws were very difficult to screw into the plastic ends in the drawers. The cam locks are small in size and ok to hold the drawers together. Wood glue to help hold everything tightly together would make a stronger end table. The diagrams for putting together with drawers on right side are very small. The table has 88 3/8" flat head screws holding it together. This is where the power tool and band aids come in handy. Towards the end it was hard on my hands turning the screw driver to tighten properly. Several of the screws need to be replaced as they were stripped trying to tighten the hinges. Two sets of hinges per side hold the fold out extension together. They are small in size not offereing much support. 3 sets of stronger hinges would be better. Watch your toes with the drawers there are no stoppers to prevent them from pulling out completely.
Conclution: When I can get to the hardware store to purchase small metal L shape brackets to reinforce drawers and extra strong hinges for the leaf I will add them. For now my table will hold my Bernina Cover stitch machine and the drawers pre cut stabilizer. As is, the table is too wobly to sew on when open to full lenght.

How unfortunate

I have an older version of the table - it was incredibly difficult to assemble and very heavy, BUT mine is solid with the parts supplied in the box, and does not wobble when you use it - I would not define it as "portable", although it moves. For "portable" I would suggest the very wonderful Gidget tables from Arrow, of which I have three. They are very solid as well but move easily both when up and when folded, though they are heavy - no table would be light I guess that would be solid.
