Hand Sewing Notions [ Reviews]

I've had this marker for some years and have continued to use it alongside other markers because i like the feel of the refill holder itself and that I have a nice fine grade of chalk marker with different colour options for different applications. I can have a broad mark or a fine one based on whether or not I use the included sharpener that comes in the pkt.
I have used it extensively in marking quilts but also for marking clothing and have found it has been great.
UNLESS you drop the cartridges and then they can crack!
And if you are unlucky you may find colours like the bright orange harder to shift depending on the fabric. I had a friend with the same marker use orange on her quilt and it did not wash out, she ended up using a stain removing laundry soap to remove the stain the marker left. I have not used orange myself yet.
I have not had a problem shifting the white off any fabric but then, it does not have pigment added.
As far as I know the product is wax free and it certainly brushes away easily. It is smooth to apply and a pleasure to use otherwise.
On balance I do like the marker and if the refills were more robust against breakage I would have given it a three star rating.

I started with the solid chalk square, then the chalk pencil and then moved to the blue washable and purple air markers. Thanks so much for reviewing this notion. I was hesitant to throw out money on another gimmick chalk product. Sometimes chalk is really the best marking option. I am going to try ordering it.
