What is this notion used for?The Oliso Pro iron is designed for sewers and quilters.

It has a large water reservoir so that it has lots of steam. It has NO auto shut off so the iron is hot when needed.

This iron has the itouch system where the iron, when not in use sits on little feet but once the handle is gripped then the feet retract. It is a great system if one is standing at the ironing board ironing many items; however, it can be turned off and the iron can be set up on end like a traditional iron. Nice to have options.

Did you get your money's worth after the purchase?Yes, I think so. I purchased this iron in October at ETAC - California and have been using it for my sewing garments.

I handed planned on buying an iron while at ETAC, but I was sitting with some other sewists and they all owned this iron and said how much they liked it so I went and spoke to the sales rep at the Oliso booth and bought the iron.

Is this notion easily available?I believe it is only available through mail order/internet sources like Nancy's Notions or other such sites. Not sure if it is sold in brick & mortar stores or not.

Would you recommend it to others?
If you are looking for a good iron with a large water capacity and one without the auto shut off nonsense (which besides being annoying is the first thing on an iron to fail) than yes, I would recommend this iron.

	svetlana said... I received this iron for Christmas from my wish list. I was interested because it would be more stable on my ironing board when the dog bumped the board. I discovered an added advantage that I had not thought of. I have some pretty painful arthritis in my thumb joint on my right hand. Since I am not gripping the handle to set the iron upright, rather guiding the iron with my fingers and my thumb along side of the handle, I can iron longer and more comfortably. 2/3/13 7:05 PM
