Pattern Description: Fitted top has collar, collar band, front pin tucks, shaped hemline, front longer than back, wrong side shows, and stitched hem. B: pin tucks on sleeves.

Pattern Sizing: B5 (8-16)

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were terrific. I still managed to sew the pin tucks on the wrong side of the fabric, but the ray effect remains.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the pin tucks on the neck, body and sleeves.

Fabric Used: Kaffe Fassett shot cotton. Beautiful, soft cotton.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made a muslin of this shirt in a 14, my go-to size for BMV. There was way too much fabric between bust and shoulder and I could not get rid of it, so I sized down to a 12, removed the wedge above the bust and added to the side seams. There is ease in this pattern, but not throughout.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is a great shirt pattern. I was able to incorporate mock flat felled seams. The pin tucks make it a little too unique for a basic shirt, however. It would also be interesting as a jacket.

Conclusion: Very happy with the outcome. I definitely recommend this pattern. See more on my blog. Click Here

Your shirt is lovely. Your fitting comments address a common problem I have, and I guess I better make a muslin on this one!

The shot cotton is incredibly soft and the colours are brilliant. Marec and JamieB, the above bust wedge is not uncommon for me either, but I have never had so much difficulty in removing it! I was sure I had done the neck tucks too small because my first wedge, on the 14, was straight across and more than 2", shortening the armhole significantly. In the 12, it was a proper 1,25" wedge, but then I had the shirt body to address. I ended up with my regular size in the body but one size smaller through the neck, shoulders and armhole. This is why I muslin every single pattern!
