Pattern Description: (from website description) A PatternReview exclusive, the Summer Street Dress is everything you want in a cool summer dress. Easy to sew, with an optional contrast panel in the front, this kimono sleeve knit dress with a scoop neckline has endless possibilities. Sew as is for a sweet dress that you'll wear everywhere. Lengthen the skirt, and you have a maxi that's right on trend! The Summer Street Dress looks equally cute with sandals or boots. This is the transition piece you've been waiting for. Don't wait! Download it, sew it and wear it today!

Pattern Sizing: I made the bust CS, waist CS, and hip CM.

My Shape: five feet two inches, bust 34 waist 30 hip 40

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I changed the neckline so that it looks more like the pattern photo.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I pretty much like everything about this pattern!

Fabric Used: Coral Pink Ponte Knit 60W and Coral Pink/White Scattered Dots Print ITY Knit 58W both from

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I lowered the neckline two inches and added pockets.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I want to sew it again, but maybe not until next year. I have a lot of other patterns I want to try. For sure I'm coming back to this one. Yes I recommend!

Conclusion: I am not big on polka dots but I thought this fabric with the multi-sized dots and having the dots making sort of a stripe was cool so I bought it. I was so mesmerized by the polka dots on this fabric that I stared and stared at it after I attached the skirt to the bodice. In fact, I totally forgot to hem the skirt and wore it to the office unhemmed! Oops! Luckily no one noticed. So far I have not decided if I'm going to hem it or not. I think it looks fine and the length is not too bad on me. I did notice on this version that the waistline seems to dip down in the back, not sure what I did there. The ponte I used seemed to be pretty firm even compared to the other ponte I have, so if I use this sort of fabric again I will think about going up a size in the bodice. Although it does fit me, it shows the lumps across my back. Maybe I should just start making my own bras and I won't have that problem!

Gorgeous dress! You did a great job mixing fabrics--something I find very difficult--they look great together.

Came out great! The polka dots also remind me of bubbles for some reason. Pretty color too!
