Pattern Description: This is Simplicity's pattern 4702, designed by Andrea Schewe, copyrighted 2004. It's for eight outfits for Barbie & other 11 1/2" female fashion dolls. A: Evening dress with overlays & rosette trim. B: Top, jacket, and miniskirt. C: Top & miniskirt. D: Minidress with flat lace trim at neckline. E: Top with flat lace trim & jeans. F: Long-sleeved top and pants. G: Long-sleeved top & capri pants. H: Long-sleeved top, jacket with bridal-button loops, and pants. I made the dress "A." It's on Barbie.

Pattern Sizing: The pattern comes in one size.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it looked like the dress "A" in the drawing on the pattern envelope.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were reasonably easy.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that it makes beautiful doll clothes. I have no actual dislikes.

Fabric Used: Burgundy polyester costume satin, the reason being is that I liked the fabric.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I followed the instructions to the letter.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I'd like to make more doll clothes from the pattern. Yes, I'd recommend it to others.

Conclusion: The dress was great fun to make. The pattern's a keeper.
