|Pattern Description: Sleeveless yoked dress with ruffled hemline and purchased trim options.|
Pattern Sizing:3, 6 and 9 months. I had to use another pattern to get a size that would fit my 19 month old daughter.
Did it look like the photo/drawing in the book once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?I didn't use them. This was pretty simple to put together.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This pattern came from the book "Making Baby's Clothes" at hobby lobby. I don't think the author has children. Lots of string ties on infant necklines, awkward looking fit even in the photos, no snap crotches, just some strange stuff all around. I thought this dress was cute and there are a couple of other things for preschoolers I'll try to remember to make later. Can't review the pattern pieces themselves because they weren't offered in my daughter's size.
Fabric Used:quilting cotton, Riley Blake mini Pom Pom trim, ric rac and bias tape scraps.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?one is enough for me. Can't say I'd recommend the book to anyone, although I thought it was worth reviewing to give others an idea of what to do with leftover trim pieces and plain fabric/quilt scraps/old pillowcases.
Conclusion: Cute idea, wish the patterns in the book were offered for a wider range of sizes.
