Pattern Description:
Misses 1950's Vinage Peplum Tunic Top
two peplum lengths, three neck options.
Pattern Sizing:
8-22, i cut a 16
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes it did. Very much so.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, there were only a few pattern pieces and the instructions were very well written and illistrated.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
love the peplum length and style. love the location of the peplum. sometimes they can start a little high, making you looking a little big in the belly. but this one sits fine.
Fabric Used:
Ankara African Wax Print
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The sleves asked for the cuffs to be folded twice, i only did it once and rather than top stitch, i slip stitched as i prefer the clean finish.
The pattern asked for 4 buttons, i only put in three as I liked the peplum totally open from the waist down.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
yes, this is my third , and i am sure i will make a few more.
a very easy make and comes together very quickly.
